    San Juan del Sur was my very first time in any ocean or salt water, on January 1st, 1998. Again, so many memories!! That statue wasn’t there then, though. It was dedicated in 2009.

    I hope you get a chance to go to Masaya; the volcanoe and the crafts markets are worth the trip!
