I visited some of the Room to Read girl scholars on the char islands in Bangladesh. We had to walk for a couple of miles from the river to the village. I don’t think there were many visitors that came this way based on the surprised looks I collected as I walked through the fields. The local children followed me and were delighted when I took their picture then showed it to them.
