Unbelievable

Korea just defeated Italy to advance to the quarter finals of the World Cup. I watched from the comfort of my apartment (I’m not really into mobs). As Ahn scored the winning goal, waves and waves of cheers could be heard coming through my balcony windows.Followed by the loud popping of fireworks. And the news stories on every channel (really – I had a choice of ten channels from which to watch the game). It appears there was not a single person in the entire country that was *not* watching the game. Hiddink, the coach, was just interviewed. His comment, “I think this is unique what happened tonight.” Yeah.
